Who We Are

ESPECH (Education, Society, Poverty, Environment, Children, Healthcare) was established in 2009 with these six topics as our core objective.

Since its inception, ESPECH has worked to educate people about social issues, satisfy fundamental life necessities, improve the environment and provide basic health needs.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to work globally on the core problems facing society and enable people to be self-sufficient. We aim to provide a health care choice for the disadvantaged, by creating long-term ties with sister organizations headquartered in impoverished areas.

Every human life is of equal worth, and every person has the fundamental right to a decent education, to be free of hunger and to be healthy to reach their full potential. All individuals must stand in solidarity with those on the fringes of contemporary society. It is necessary to level the playing field for people born at a disadvantage (equity vs equality). We can combat unfairness by altering these factors. It is our moral obligation to expose social injustice and seek to remedy the structural mechanisms that generate inequality, regardless of how difficult or hard this effort may seem.

Success Story of Essami

My income has increased by 100% and my reputation has grown within the neighbourhood.

Essami is situated in a rural area in southern Sierra Leone. Our programme provided her with the means to get business training and modest financing.

Essami used the financing to begin a cassava-growing enterprise. Her son sells the cassava in town, and she has used the money to repay the debt and put some money down for the future.

Facilitating Capacity Building for Young People in Northern Uganda

Due to the high levels of youth unemployment and poverty in Uganda, both among refugees and in the local community, we are establishing youth job training programs. Up to 800 young people will benefit from this opportunity to get "on-the-job" training from local craftsmen in fields including carpentry, motorbike repair, tailoring and hairdressing.

By teaching young people not only the practical skills necessary for finding and managing jobs, but also the emotional fortitude to persevere in the face of uncertainty, and the ability to build better lives for themselves and their families, we strive to provide long-term solutions for those in need.
